Synopsis – Uladhal is a thrilling – adventurous comedy about the journey of a shield (Dhaal) created in 1758 by a Great Maratha Emperor. The creation of this shied was in the honor of the noteworthy sacrifice made by a brave warrior named Somajirao. He took the blow of a spear heading towards the king during a battle and thus saved the king’s life. He shielded the king from a bunch of enemies just as a powerful shield would do. Hence, as a gesture of appreciation, the king honors Somajirao by awarding him a precious shield (Dhaal). Generation after generation, Somajiraos family believes that the protection of this shield is their prime responsibility. During the course of time, countless opponents plot to steal this shield, but all their efforts prove unrewarding. However, Sayajirao, the youngest ruler of the family mistakenly misplaces the shield and eventually loses it. Will Sayajirao let this prestigious and honorable shield go away so easily? Synopsis: When 3 students of Delhi University go missing on their trip to Jhanjhar – a village in Bihar, the media and students body creates a furor as the incident appears to be driven by caste and racial tensions prevalent in the area. Under tremendous pressure, the government sends CBI officers Sidhant Chaturvedi (Akshaye Khanna) and Pratap Kumar (Ajay Devgn) to investigate the matter. However, investigating in Jhanjhar becomes a tough task for these officers who face severe animosity from the local police force, headed by Bhura Ram (Paresh Rawal) and their politically driven parallel body called the Shool Sena. Besides, their contrasting personalities and clashing ideologies create additional problems for the duo. The case goes on to create further mayhem, a victim of the racial/caste conflicts herself and Roshni (Amita Pathak), the daughter of the most powerful and richest person of village that the two officers are able to solve the mystey of the missing students.
